We all encounter feelings of nervousness, anxiousness, and even fear. These feelings are what we sometimes term anxiety. Anxiety is natural when we are presented with situations of high stress or potential threat. However, some may may encounter these feelings in normal, every day living which can effect or limit normal functioning. They are often caused by underlying stressors on the body. There are healthy ways for relieving stress and managing nervous symptoms.

Meeting with a professional counselor can aid patients greatly in talking about concerns and learning techniques to manage symptoms. Medication in certain conditions is a helpful resource and should be used only when prescribed by a medical professional. At Equilibrium we practice the emotional freedom technique with patients and train them in simple ways of getting to the root of why they may feel anxious.
